Teri Paul
Living in the beautiful Okanagan for the past 23 years I have been so fortunate to be able to get up every day and work in the arts and make a good living. As far back as I can remember, painting and drawing have been a big part of my life. I quickly realized after I went back to painting as an adult that this was going to be a never-ending journey of discovery, one during which I could choose to take either the safe undemanding way or a more exciting and adventurous route. Throughout the years I have had many opportunities to study with various art teachers at Emily Carr University, UBCO, and OSA. They have helped shape and evolve my work while I continue to learn and explore new techniques. Inspiration comes from everything including my own garden, dreams, photos, and travel.
With regards to my painting I work with mixed media including acrylic and oil paint, along with inks, and pastels. My preference with clay is mainly Laguna Clay using my own glaze recipes along with some commercial stains and glazes. I am very proud of the fact that all my designs are my own creations.
I feel blessed to be doing something I am so passionate about on a daily basis, and my art and all that is related to it has enriched my life beyond my wildest dreams.
